Our hope is that our established and successful citizenship program can be of assistance to other educators wishing to provide these services in other schools.

Elementary Counselor -

Clare Struck Clare Struck is the elementary guidance counselor at Price Laboratory School.  She coordinates the developmental and preventative guidance program for students.Mrs. Struck teaches classroom guidance units, facilitates small groups, and provides individual counseling.  Mrs. Struck along with Mrs. Kim Miller, the elementary resource teacher co- founded the PLS Elementary Citizenship Program in 1993.She plans the monthly assemblies with Mrs.Miller.  She is also the faculty advisor of the Elementary Student Council. This student led group begins each citizenship assembly by leading the Pledge of Allegiance and the PLS PLedge. The monthly projects they share at the assemblies are service learning connections related to the various citizenship themes.

Elementary Resource -

Kim Miller is the elementary resource teacher at Price Laboratory School.  Mrs. Miller co-teaches in kindergarten through 6th grade
delivering large group, small group, and individual instruction in the
general education classroom.  Mrs. Miller plans the monthly assemblies with
Mrs. Struck, the school guidance counselor.  She often introduces new
themes for the month.

Elementary Music -

Michelle Swanson is the elementary general music teacher at Price Laboratory School.  Mrs. Swanson teaches pre-school through 6th
grade music as well as vocal and instrumental ensembles.  Mrs. Swanson
 leads the opening and closing singing at the monthly PLS Citizenship
assemblies.  Many of the songs relate to the monthly themes and are
original compositions.
