Attitude – Lunch With the Principal

Each teacher will sign a card that says, “Eat Lunch With The Principal.”  The cards will be put in a bag and names will be drawn out.  These teachers will come up on stage to a table that is set.  Ours had a SpongeBob tablecloth.

The principal will be waiting on the table.  Two other helpers will be in the back of the auditorium to bring in the items.

PRINCIPAL:  Welcome to our Price Lab Restaurant.  We are so glad that you are dining with us today.  You were specially chosen for this pleasurable dining experience.  Have you been here before?  Well, we have done some remodeling.  Here is a menu for each of you (hand each of them a menu).  Besides our main courses, I have several favorites.  May I suggest our tantalizing drink special (have the guest turn their menu over and show audience- it says Kool-Aid.  The wait staff will come form the back of the auditorium with a pitcher of Kool-Aid).

My other favorites are the specialty desserts (have the guests turn their menu over and show the audience – Specialty Desserts).  They are different each week.  Our chef, Laura, enjoys making (fill in with some things she makes).  This week she has prepared her specialty SpongeBob cookies.  (The wait staff will bring in the cookies).  Give them a short chance to eat.

Here are your checks.  You may pay the cashier.  (Hand one of them the sign that says PAY).

CASHIER:  Good morning, I am the cashier.  Did you enjoy your dining experience?  Did you bring any money?  Good, see we don't accept money at our restaurant.  You pay for your meals with your ATTITUDE AND GOOD BEHAVIOR IN THE LUNCHROOM.  There are 5 things you need to do in the lunchroom in order to earn this treat on Fridays.

        1.  Eat Your Lunch.

        2.  Stay Seated.

        3.  Talk Quietly.

        4.  Clean Up.

        5.  Be Respectful.

Give each of the teachers a sign to hold up as you talk about each one.  We have had problems in the lunchroom with students talking inappropriately, so we will spend more time on the Be Respectful.

Explain that each grade will have a bag hung on a bulletin board in the cafeteria.  Each of the students will sign a Eat Lunch With The Principal card and they will be placed in a library pocket on the bag.  The lunch monitor will pass our the Eat Lunch With The Principal cards to the students that followed the Lunchroom Rules for the week.  Those students will get to put their names in the bag.  A set number of students will be drawn out each Friday to sit at the special table.  Each week the table will have a different theme.

Remember the lunchroom rules.
