Mrs. Stichter's Maternity Leave

Setting:

Miss Mohorne and Marshea, Montana, Chesthers, and Kory are sitting at a table on center stage

Mrs. Stichter is sitting in a chair holding baby Jack - stage left

Mrs. S: (talking to herself, audience and baby Jack)

I had little Jack last week. I'm enjoying my time with him BUT,

Oh, I've been so worried about my students. What happens when I'm gone? Are they still remembering THE GUIDELINES FOR SUCCESS: RESPECT, LEARNING, RESPONSIBILITY, and HONESTY? I really want my students to RESPECT their guest teacher, Miss Mohorne, in my absence. They need to keep LEARNING even if I'm not there. And of course I would want them to keep a POSITIVE ATTITUDE. I'm just so worried... I think I'll sneak back to school and check on them. No one will see us! Ok, Jack you have to be quiet.

Mrs. S and baby Jack peak in the back of the make shift 'classroom' -

Miss Mohorne will be teaching the children.

The students are raising their hands, answering questions and modeling positive learning.

Mrs. S: Jack they're doing it!! They are RESPECTING Miss Mohorne and they are LEARNING. Now you and we can go home because we know the students are still following the GUIDELINES FOR SUCCESS.
