Creative Drama is a unique art form for elementary students. Students are guided by the teacher to imagine, enact, and reflect upon human experiences. They learn about drama and learn through drama. It is a process of creative, intellectual and social exploration. Although creative drama is improvisational, it can be used as a tool for students to develop their ideas on citizenship themes for sharing at assemblies.

There are wonderful books written for classroom teachers on how to incorporate theatre games, movement and pantomime activities with curricular themes. Click on the site below for drama resources.
