July 15, 2002 Advisory board members will be identified and will hold an organizational meeting to review the plan for development of the Center, offer input, and have the role of the advisory board clarified.
August 15, 2002 The project manager will have hired the director of the Center and provide the director with a job description.
September 1, 2002 The Center director begins work.
September 21, 2002 The Center director develops the job description for the technology coordinator and in cooperation with the project manager hires the technology coordinator.
October 1, 2002 The Center director and technology coordinator plan for initiation of Center activities, determine technology structure necessary to carry out the planned activities, and determine needed skills and responsibilities of the technology support team.
October 1, 2002 The project manager and advisory board initiate planning for the national working conference
October 15, 2002 Technology support team hired by Center director.
December 1, 2002 Website and Clearinghouse operational.
July 1, 2003 School Foundation web-based course curriculum available. Web-based “hot line” operational.
July 1, 2003 Website research findings, best practice, key contacts, legal expert links developed.
August 28, 2003 School foundation web-based course available.
September 1, 2003 Web-based workshops offered.
October 13, 2003 National Working Conference held. Critical issues identified; monograph initiated.
December 1, 2003 Conference proceedings complete and made available electronically.
January, 2004 Continuous development of the National Center for Public and Private School Foundations.
